raise the turn and check the river. if he comes back over you can fold.

seriously you cannot fold otherwise it makes you exploitable. try to play a perfect game.

yea i'm sure a 13/10 chinese nit is looking to exploit you....

also your line is bad, if you think he is exploiting you + on some kind of draw you might as well get it in while you're ahead and jam the turn. You're just burning money if you raise turn even if its a minraise there will be 140+ in the pot at which point you can't fold the river given the price to call

oh yeah didnt see... so why did you bet flop so big?

flat turn then. if he flat calls that flop with a set then he sucks

I would shove it in and be pretty happy about it, if he has a set so be it but its somewhat discounted from being QQ,TT since he limped behind pre and discounted from 44,33 since he didnt raise a pretty drawy flop vs what is almost always a big hand given the action. QTs is an option too but there is only 1 combo of that left and I dont think he would play QTo. On the other hand his line could mean flush draws, especially strong ones like KJ and Tx and Qx of clubs, maybe even 56s but also could be like QJ,KQ,AQ that he chose to play this way for whatever reason.

thanks. thats kinda how i felt about it at first, that he would probably raise a set on this board, but then he showed up with a set and i doubted myself.

scenario: hero cbets air on the flop, gets bet into on the turn and hero folds his air.

The only hands a nit balances in his range are the nuts, the second nuts, and the third nuts.

call and bet the river if he checks normally..
or call if he bets and the board doesn't change.

That is standard, against some opponents a raise on the turn is good if they'll pay you off with just a random Qx hand.

poker is soooo much easier when you flop sets

i fold here easy, he either has a set or is trying to fake a set.. him being 13/10 over 900 hands, its much more likely he has a set here, 90% of these 13/10 nits aren't capable of bluffing here. FOLD imo

I dont know what a dt drop is. Is it a wrestling move? -Oly

alot of these nl100 fr regs slowplay sets, c/r you with a set here will only fold out what they beat. The guy's 13/10 ffs. He doesn't play QT, QJ, KQ this strong, I doubt he'd even limp those hands and he raises AQ pf. He has 44/33 here 90% of the time

nonono

this is FR, villain is a nit.

I cant believe all of you are saying shove turn, or call turn/bet river. or even raise turn and fold river
finally a fr thread i could give some advice that I know is right

whamm!   Albania. Jan 17 2010 05:50. Posts 11625

is this how nits at 100nlFR play sets now? check/call fd flop then lead half pot? looks more like a fd that hit a 10 by the turn to me.

meh limp/call. id prob call a street and see what he does on the river if it bricks tho. folding against 13/10 (typical reg stats) with tptk ip to a half pot lead seems way too weak on a fd flop without any further info. but i do agree raising turn is quite bad. id like to see what he does by the river and prob fold to any 2/3 valuebets tho.
