Questions about banning

1) Is there a list of "reasons" people can be banned for? Like the laws of LP? I've never seen one but am curious.

2) Are admins supposed to give a reason when they ban you?

3) Do you get a warning?

Reason I ask is cause zaragyemo was banned by baal without a warning or explanation and I'm assuming it's for zara's last post in this thread, which doesn't seem ban worthy to me, especially considering baal's previous posts in replies to hers. I'm guessing that baal got upset so he banned her. But maybe there's another reason.

So what's the procedure for appealing perceived "unfair" bans?

It's a 2-day ban over after Christmas. This could have been a warning but 2-day ban is essentially a stronger form of warning people.

And was it for the post I thought? And if that's the post it was for, why is that ban worthy? If someone tells you to get the fuck out of a thread cause your stupid, and you retaliate by saying "blah blah blah", and the person you're arguing with isn't an admin I have a feeling there wouldn't be a ban. So if an admin acts in a "asshole-ish" manner and you retaliate in the same way, you get banned for that?

Or maybe the ban was for something else entirely and I don't know what I'm talking about =)

If you look back through a bunch of other threads, like the 9/11 thread, and there's probably a bunch on religion, evolution, there was the donate to cancer research thread where he argued with Loco..anyway, the point is Baal is usually quick to ban trollish or derailing posts. It really is only in these threads too that Baal is quick to ban from what I've seen.

I haven't read through the thread but it looks like without a doubt it was her last post. I don't think a ban was justified, but her post wasn't necessary either.
