Welcome!

Our main goal at LiquidPoker is to provide a lucrative forum for the sharing of poker-related information.

It's vital to have guidelines in place to control our content and keep the atmosphere as friendly as possible, so we'd appreciate it if you could read and adhear to the following during the course of your stay.

Getting started

Since most of you are poker players it shouldn't be too hard for you to apply a certain level of thought in your posts. Take your time. Re-read what you write; if you don't like it then there's a handy 'edit' feature. Don't forget that people here play on all stakes, from .01/.02 to 100/200 and beyond, so bear this in mind when giving advice in a discussion.

General etiquette

We're not great fans of censorship, which stifles personality, but ask that you keep bad language to a minimum for the sake of our more sensitive readers.

Sexism, racism and other condescending behaviours are not tolerated.

If a post is deemed as offensive we will not be shy to delete it and possibly ban you from this website. Note that we are biased in our rulings and experienced users will be treated with more leniency. If you are a newly registered member be careful with what you post.

Keep your posts to English only. DON'T TYPE IN CAPITALS. Don't spam. Don't post pronography.

Deception is not welcome here. If you troll or lie you'll be discovered pretty quickly and blocked from further participation.

Lastly, any threads linking to copyright e-books or cracked software will be removed. This is not a place to facilitate your illegal activities.

Posting threads

Please, please use the search function before posting a question. It only takes a second and you might discover a week's worth of answers already.

Similary, if you want to create a topic about a recent event, don't forget to scroll down the forum first to see if someone's beaten you to it.

Poker-specific news and general strategy/theory topics should go in the Main Poker forum. Questions on specific hands should go, obviously, in the Hand Discussion section.

The General forum is for anything not related to poker. Need help setting up dual monitors? It should go here. Need advice on buying dual monitors specificially for poker? Ask in the Main Poker forum.

Bad beat threads should go in the bad beat section! You can find it near the bottom of the main forum index.

Topic naming

Like with any database of information, it is vital to name each submitted element in a comprehensive manner. If you post a thread entitled "need help with this please", it'll quickly become lost in the archives amongst a thousand other topics with the same name. The search function would be useless. Moreso, people that are able to help you might skip an ambiguously-named topic, simply because they don't know what it's about.

Some people like to use tags or abbreviations to help clarify their thread titles. Use these at your own discretion.

The Handlisting

This is a feature for everyone's personal use and asking why someone posted a particular hand here is not appreciated.

If you want to ask a question about your hand it should be posted in the Hand Discussion forum. You can do this in one of two ways:

i) After submitting to the listing, post it into your thread with [hand=#], where # is the number of the hand in the database.

ii) Post your hand directly into the thread using the Spade icon which is located above the message input box.

Advertising

Please refrain from linking to other sites for bonus and rakeback schemes, as we offer a number of these ourselves. You can read more about this in our Bonus Listing and Rakeback sections, located at the head of the forum.

Lastly, this is not a place to ask for money. So don't :-)

Thanks for reading!

The vast majority of you will have no troubles here whatsoever - infact you might even enjoy yourselves! If you named a topic badly, or posted it in the wrong forum, it'll simply be updated by a moderator.

Any serious breach of our rules will be dealt with on an individual basis. Generally you can expect either a warning posted in the thread or a PM (personal message) from one of the staff.

The worst offenders will be IP banned and all their posts permanently deleted.

are you really telling poker players not to lie? good luck with that....

good rules, nice work chibi

I think that poker is comparable to a starcraft 2v2 where your partner is your bankroll. It really sucks when im terran and they both rush my bankroll. - Travis Victor says: sending me pokerhand is like spitting in my face

Whats up with the troll hate? Trolls have feelings also. In fact I know some trolls that are very good at poker, hell look at Panella86 he has done pretty good for himself.

not so bad rules

Far better it is to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even though checkered by failure, than to take rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy much nor suffer much, because they live in the gray twilight that knows not victory nor defeat

No its a subtle way of saying "if you are from tl.net and were a bigshot there we like you more than other people." Nobody gives about people who frequented Tl.net but aren't the 15 or so people that everyone knows.

Good... Bad... Im the guy with the Gun.
