does his line make sense tho? Isnt it normal, when taking a line that will induce bluffs, and facing an unknown, and facing a bet that doesnt make sense, to call in situations like this?

i dont think you called because it didn't make any sense. you call here only if you have a really specific read on the guy. i think you called because you had the SECOND NUT FLUSH, wanted to spite catch a truly random bluff, and couldn't lay it down. true story.

56 does make sense in some way, still its an EV- call imo.

meh if hes flatting flop and checking behind turn then i think im calling here vs alot of opponents.
