i was thinking about this today because sometimes i do this when donking around at plo HUSNGs.
Similar to a standard spot when say you have 9999 in the BB and BU limp. Some 7810jx type boards run out and you just have the easiest funnest (and probably most profitable) bluffs possible. The situations arising to use these blockers is somewhat infrequent though; so on to the question.
You are playing HUPLO 100bb deep. You are dealt quads in the BB 7777-JJJJ and the button minraises. Do you ever call just to bluff later?
What about 200bb deep? 300?
and if yes what about vs a 3x or pot open! |

Not sure if that is good as a lot of flops will give you 0 blocker potential and you just c/f a ton. Might be ok to flat vs a mr, but I don't think it would ever be profitable vs a 3x/pot.
p.s. don't play plo, just my thoughts. |

why not play AAAA instead because you have nut flush blockers????? |

It seems to be not very profitable in the long run to play those kind of hands. - Gus Hansen | |

doesnt happen often enough and u have shit equity and even shittier playability when ur blockers are not relevant
I think there are some games where u play ur "preflop" blockers aggressively like draw games

being dealt quads is less common than flopping them. and then you also want to add 'board comes out in such a way that my quads are a blocker'
I mean I think that if you have 9999 then sure, see a flop. if the board comes 876xxrainbow, sure, go allin because he should always fold, but I mean.. |

that 5555 hand was like wut, it was a heads-up pot so blocker bluff is less credible, +his 5555 doesn't really block anything |
