I was tearing it up on the 50nl hu tables today. And have since cashed out. I just called up wobbly_au on the phone and he did not answer.

So....since I used to be a 50nl grinder in 2012. And made at prob 2bb/100. How much would I lose/100

To find out what he thinks his edge is. Babs1337 thought his winrate would be 2bb/100. But he'd had a couple

-2bb/100 seems reasonable

using bb/100 to describe how much you'd win/lose at headsup is a silly measurement anyways.

yeah I don't think he went busto lol. I remember studying his play on ptr near the end, he was doing good

I think he just burnt out from playing 150k+ hands/month for so long, along with being discouraged by blackfriday

I dont know what a dt drop is. Is it a wrestling move? -OlyLast edit: 08/11/2014 15:22

Wobbly was also in school (with afaik high honors) and just got married. Probably quit poker, bought a house and got a job at a university or something.

lol what you all think is irrelevant, the fact is he lost 100k in one year playing midstakes

if he had previously won considerably more than 100k prior to that final bad year as others have alluded to, this counts as a 'relevant fact' if you are trying to speculate whether he is "busto" (if you define that word as, has no significant money left)

if u check his blogs hes over 1mil lifetime winnings, he had -40k sessions, i doubt a -100k year did anything to his bankroll

Wobbly is too smart to go busto. More like he hit a lifetime stoploss and decided to move on with his war chest which would be the smartest move anyway. He didn't buy lavish stuff and lived on a frugal allowance which he always stressed in his posts here. Taking shots at 25/50 and allegedly getting scammed by dogishead/jungle/portugese prodigy fiasco probably made him quit. He was an egomaniac yes, (aren't we all here) but Ive always admired the way he managed his poker career.

Have the 50nl games changed that much since 2012 ?

:D
