Other

- The event was expected to be headlined by a light heavyweight bout between the coaches of The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil 3 Chael Sonnen and Wanderlei Silva The fight was originally scheduled for UFC 173 but later shifted to this card. However, the fight will instead be contested on July 5, 2014 at UFC 175.
- A heavyweight bout between Junior dos Santos and Stipe Miocic was also shifted from UFC 173 to headline this card. On May 5, 2014 Dos Santos pulled out of the fight, citing a hand injury and was replaced by Fabio Maldonado.
- Demian Maia was expected to face Mike Pierce, however Pierce had to pull out of the fight due to a broken hand. Maia is now expected to face UFC newcomer Alexander Yakovlev.
- Wilson Reis was briefly linked to a bout with Pedro Muhnoz at the event. However, Reis was replaced by promotional newcomer Matt Hobar.
- Brian Ortega was expected to make his promotional debut against Diego Brandao. However, Brandao pulled out of the bout in the days leading up to the event citing an injury. Due to the late nature of the change, officials did not try to find a replacement and Ortega was pulled from the card as well.

First thoughts:

• Miocic > Maldonado
• Maia > Yakovlev
• Jason > Peralta (Peralta can win, but I think these hard-hitters will go to a decision, which is where Rony will win.)
• Silverio > Chavez
• Souza > Eddiva

I know some of the others fighters but, not sure how their fight will go and I don't have time to do any research.

I have $3250 on Miocic -500 pretty sure that makes it watchable. He is still -500 currently there is so much value there.

I don't know how the hell Maldonado is going to win this. Miocic made Nelson and Gonzaga look like they didn't belong in the same cage as him. He was training for JDS and is now fighting Fabio Maldonado. It is literally a ranked HW vs an unranked fighter who probably could make 185 that has shown no signs of improvement and is 34 years old. No clue why the odds aren't -1500 because they should be.

yea, I don't know how I got this price, bestfightodds listed best price for Miocic ITD as -260
when I realized this I tried to snap shove what I got left on my 5dimes acc, but they capped the limit to this bet at 382$, maybe because it was a parlay, dont know, but received a message saying it was because of bet #2
