So after taking a year off dealing with a broken hand and an annoying divorce I finally got my life and training back together and have an MMA bout coming up March 15th in Petaluma California.

good luck in your comeback

I have learned from poker that being at the table is not a grind, the grind is living and poker is how I pass the time

Yea there is also a Naga in Oregon the same day that I was planning on going to before I got the call for this fight.

How much do you get paid for the bout? How many hours per week do you work on yourself?

How many years experience did you have before your first fight?

it's an amateur bout so no moneys directly, they often cover travel, hotel, other stuff and give you like 20+ tickets to the event which you can sell. Trying to hunt down some sponsorships as well but since it's kind of far from my home town most local businesses are not biting. I'm in the gym around 20-25hours a week this is almost all sparring or technique work, I do cardio and whatnot on my own time outside of the gym.

thats normal for MMA...

The Problem with MMA is that its just soooo much to practice
Jiu Jitsu , Wrestling , Boxing and combining it all ....
then besides that u need 2-3 times cardio a week and ~2 times strength traning.

I currently am out of MMA competition for about 2 years now due to health issues.
I see myself as inactive
And when an MMA guy says he is "inactive" and doesnt train = he still trains ~ 10h a week

U see what i did there with A8 ? He 4 bets and there we go insta jam A8 : ---booooom -- . hahahaha ( Krantz)Last edit: 21/02/2014 10:36

lol yea even when injured and "retired" I'm still in the gym at least 10+ hours a week. There is just no quitting it.

how do you guys deal with the constant injuries? are you both just super flexible and dont get injured much or just deal with the stupid nagging hip/ankle/finger/rib/back/neck shit that constantly happens?

I'm a walking injury, but hot tubs, ice baths and lovely women with strong hands keep me functional.
