Hi all,

I hope this solicitation is okay. I'm a grad student that studies bargaining and I am also a poker fan and I used to play a ton of broodwar. I am looking for data on tournaments with high stakes and the deals/chops they make at the final table (like the splits they do on Party Poker). Basically I'm looking for stuff like the split made, the chip count, the blinds size, and tournament results. Does anyone have this sort of data? Where might I go looking for this data? How might I learn more about this?

Cheers!

download an "ICM Calculator" - you can calculate the prize pool w/ chip stacks and know what the chip chop will be, before the stars advisor gets there, you know what you will be offered, so u can make your "chop offer" at a higher %. if they say no, fuck it and play. unless its life changing money etc, then use your br/best judgement

daut44 just runs over pca ft's, chops are for pussies, he ran it for like 500k

Just remember you need to be god damn sure about their tendencies. -Artanis11 http://www.pocketfives.com/profiles/neillyaa/

I don't know where you can find such data, probably on sites that write tournament reports. You could try checking on PokerStarsBlog.com, they have weekly reports for their Sunday tournaments. IIRC they mention deals in their reports.
