WSOP unveiles early 2015 information, includes a $565 buy-in, $5,000,000 guaranteed event

Some early information has been release regarding World Series of Poker 2015 schedule and it looks like it will be another year with few innovations being implemented. The most interesting and surprising is the announcement of the cheapest bracelet event in 35 years! For just $565 buy-in everyone could compete in a $5 million guaranteed event. It will also award an official WSOP bracelet to the winner.

The $565 event is going to be a re-entry, with option to re-entry once per day on each May 29 and May 30. That means every player will be given up to 4 chances in the tournament, if he wants to pay that much.

Whole series will take place between May 27 to July 14. The Main Event(which starts July 5th) will, once again, guarantee a $10,000,000 prize for the winner. The $111,111 One Drop is returning as well.

“We believe the WSOP is uniquely able to deliver the big event with life-changing money for some and a life-experience for all,” said WSOP Executive Director Ty Stewart. “We are going to proudly stage the kinds of events which draw players from all around the world while also staying true to our heritage of contesting all variants of poker.”

Nobody excited for that tournament? I think this is one of the greatest move they made in last years (next to the $1k event), it draws attention from MASSIVE number of people that just want to try live tournament poker and don't want to spend $5k on a buy-in.

I think this tournament might actually be a thing for me to finally go to Vegas - I'm not a tournament player (and never was), but participating in WSOP for just a little more then double of what Sunday Million costs seems interesting.

will def be a big event tho ^^ i'd play it if i was in vegas

What kind of structure do the low buy in tourneys have in the WSOP?
