OK, i took a different approach in this hand than usually. Most of the times i would shove here because i have almost 50% equity against AK which i suspected my opponent would have or AA, which doesn't make a lot of difference.

However, I don't have any fold equity, he will call a shove from my side because he already rererraised me. So I thought "Why putting all my money in when there are still cards to come? I simply could wait until I improve then put the rest in!"
Well, it worked out great, he checked the turn to me but unfortunately I missed.

Isn't this the goal of the flop raise
to build pot
fold weak hands and win you a free card on the turn

And if you have no fold equity , then why put your money in as a dog?
So yeah, I like the line

yeah, but there is a weak point in playing this way: what do I do when I miss and he bets the turn?

nah, push the rest in on the flop. if a spade comes on the turn you may not even get paid, and you want to be sure you see 2 cards so just shove it in on the flop. i guess if he's dumb enough to 3bet the flop and then check the turn afterwards there's merit to calling but you're gonna be facing a turn shove the vast majority of the time which you can't call profitable - you're 25% vs TPTK/AA and drawing to 1 out vs a boat here, and by pushing you may be able to fold some shit out on the flop, i.e. air he decided to rebluff with. there's also some people dumb enough to 3bet a hand with showdown value there and fold to a shove (some of them post on this site too "let's put in half my stack and fold to shove! i know where i am when he shoves!" l0l)

one key to think about is FTP rewards aggressively played combo draws, no doubt in my mind the river is the 4 if you shove flop

^^ If you flat here and miss (which you'll do 70+% of the time), you cannot call a turn shove (profitably). This would make your flop call pretty shitty.

Why risk having to fold the turn (which would turn this into an extremely bad play), when you can put all the money in, and make a - at worst - break-even play?
