No joke, AK is now my biggest losing hand according to HEM. From now on I'm check/folding any flop I miss period.

playing like garbage will tend to do that

the standard move here is to expect your villain not to be playing back at you with worse

Oh I'm well aware this is a giant spew, what I'm tilting over is my seeming incapability of fixing it. Don't mind me just another random tilt-hand, these happen occasionally.

So cruel. Although no, I basically never check-raise like the above hand, That was a tilt-response to the previous one.

IF YOU GET RAISED ON THIS BOARD JUST FOLD AK AND STACK OFF WITH OVERPAIR

HotChip   Iceland. Oct 31 2012 19:05. Posts 146

Just call with AK pre and let other people stack off with their AQs and AJs vs you.

I play AK a bit different on micro.

Better to avoid flip situations on micro, no need for it. I would 3b here depending 100% on the villain. If I thought it was much more profitable to call I would call. Also depending on the villain, I'd c/c or c/f this flop

What I'm saying is probably correct, since I squinted my eyes before I started replying, and I pretended I was longple.

For those who care (no-one) I'm up to 9 buyins down in the past 2 hours on AK alone. Most of them in pre vs Aces admittedly.

I'm 3-betting because people always call with much much worse, I see QJs, 99, KJo here all the time. The problem is I'm spewing off my whole stack when they hit and I miss, whereas they're just c/f'ing A or K flops.

This doesn't say much, but if it was vs nits who have 3bs 2% and under over normal sample size. It's your own fault.

At micro the diversity of players is so massive. The nits REALLY are nits, and unaware of how they can use their image. And stations, donkeys n general fish are REALLY fishy.

+ amaterus and newbs talk about bad beats, runbad, complains. Pro's just go about being fucking awesome, fixing, finding out shit

I 3b AK 80% time as well, it's the 20% you're losing I try to avoid.

It's all about the spots, some spots are awesome for AK, some ain't.
If you 3b with AK, and a nits wakes up with 1,4% 3b, 9/9 stats, and you still havent registered a 4b on him, you're hoping to be facing AKs at the very best, since most of those kinds of nits don't even do it with QQ, they want KK and AA. This is on micro, when u get higher stakes, the nits are a little different.

ur 2nd AK hand is a bit shit as well. Bet around 1,85, and if raised, get it in is much better line. By doing it this way ur getting a call from worse hands, or spazzes. By raising, you're screaming strength, and usually a much narrower range will get it in vs you. Better to play vs a much shittier range.

all these tilt responses is probably the reason u're losing a lot, you just expect to win way too much with AK, AK isn't AA

From the 3 hands you listed here, only KJo is much worse than AK.99 is slight favorite and QJs not big underdog.
U should never forget that AK is just Ace high and plays a lot different therefore.U can check raise missed boards vs 1 opponent as a bluff.Other then that i recommend just check folding missed boards and betting boards u have hit.In the longrun you will make a ton of money from all guys calling your pre raise with weaker aces.trying to find folds vs very nitty players on Kxx board when they raise you is another key thing to do.

AK only works with superusers. fold it.
