ya i hear ya, thx. bet bet jam

is there any merit to the flop bet turn check river bet to value own mid pairs, or is that line out-dated?

Neilly can you rationalize checking turn? You're giving flush draws a free card, you're losing value from other pp you beat, you're losing value from any A-high's that might float you and fold to a scare card.

his AF is 1.7 with 33VPIP and 22 PFR - he does bet/raise more often postflop than he calls, but he is the preflop raiser 60% of the time so the AF will be pretty low when he plays without initiative.
So I will expect him to call more often than bet or raise just based on that stat and your turn check raise seems dreadful where you give free cards, lose value and get action from better hands most of the time only. Betting is is the preferred line with the information you gave us and in general against unknowns too.

EDIT: thought you have 140+ hands, but we have a tiny sample? The stats only skew your perception of him slightly, not define it.

Your line is acceptable if he is both
A) Floaty
B) Bets too much when checked to.
There are people on Merge that bet 90% when checked to IP that will never check behind a flush draw and will bet pocket pairs for protection/because they don't just check behind and as this is NL25 and your line looks bluffy, will call your shove with them a lot of the time. Against those people you get max value from their air and they have a lot of it on paired board IP along with fds and and should get similar value from pps as if you bet.

I think just bet bet jamming is best, he is going to chk back the turn so often and you are just good a ton of the time that getting 3 streets isnt an issue really
