Not necessarily. If villain is so tight that on the flop you're already really scared, you could consider just 3betting weak hands and KK+ and using QQ to get value in single raised pots.
Also I'd prefer if you added a few more bbs to your sizing. |

If you've correctly assessed that villain doesn't like folding pre and will flat with things like QJs, AJo, random crap, then 3bet and value town him on this flop.
If you really think he just has a set or better once you hit the flop, then I would rather flat pre. I wouldn't 3bet for the sake of 3betting.
That being said my default is to bet bet shove and get value from something like AJ. If he shows up with a set, that happens. You seem to be floundering around here because you 3bet pre, then suddenly you're checking because you think you need to get value out of a bluff. |
