perhaps better to call flop and check behind turn and wait till i actually hit my draws which was never gonna ever happen anyway so i dunno

Absolutely never call flop, in fact raise it bigger to a) get as much money in as possible with sick equity and b) profit more from fold equity when he folds to the turn shove.
