I'm inclined to fold river; people don't bluff you off your perceived range on the turn here often at all because the bottom card pairing makes your overpairs so strong. Not like he can raise 89 for value. Since I would expect this spot to be underbluffed and cannot exclude any value from villain's range

Sure he was probably valuecutting himself on the river if that 4 didn't come but that would have been virtually his only value hand you beat.

As the pfr esp from UTG I get how hard this is to fold though, especially vs an aware villain

seems like hes repping 67, which is less likely with you having a 6. Most flush draws don't raise turn, unless he has maybe 10j Clubs. Hard to fold, especially if you've been pounding his blind.

No, he only reps boats when he overbets. My blocker to the straight is pretty worthless

He only reps 88/99/85/95/45 and never has a bluff. It's a pretty easy fold. I just had a brainfart or something and clicked call

Also he was a fish. And fish just never bluff like this

its really close i wouldnt be to result oriented.

with stats and or reads this is much easier and player dependent

I wouldn't fold it personally especially after that flop sizing, ranges are just so wide going in to the turn. Against some super passive fish or nitregs you can find a fold I guess, but would def never fold vs anyone competent

^agree... folding river would be a very exploitative play

Obviously it's exploitative; that is the point. I think the spot is underbluffed

This is the range that hero gets to the river with given this action in Simple Postflop using the range I open preflop for hero and a standard-ish BB defending range vs MP 2.5x raise. I didn't have any of the relevant suited connectors or A5s at 100% frequency as they make decent 3bet bluffs to balance value, I'm not sure how the results would change if they were at 100% weights, but in this case hero never folds trips given this action
