Has to be said, that villain was pretty damn loose. Had VPIP of 70%. Should I still not have called his All-in?

when he overbets 4x pot on river, ur hand is a bluffcatcher. sane ppl don't do this with worse for value

however if u were gonna call with a bluffcatcher, having an ace in ur hand helps since it'll block some of his boats

so question is, how often does he have a bluff? for many opponents, the answer is never

lol it doesnt help having an ace on your hand, if he overbets when its obvious that you have trips he wants you to make a bad call like this, its a very easy fold

if i had to call i'd rather do it with A9 than K8, even tho they have basically the same relative strength vs his bet

Well he did go randomly all-in several times before with like 6$, when someone attacked him. I managed to double up my money by calling one of his random all ins.
