How do we feel about this? My line has little logic when I"m not continuing to rep quality on the turn, however...

I wonder if I'm folding 99-JJxx here, my instinct is in a lot of cases yes - and them checking twice through gives it pretty good potential to work.

I just question it because that same potential exists on the turn so maybe it's completely bogus to like checking through there.

Edit assuming any KKxx and AQxx is snapping probably

I'd rather just call flop and use the 88 blockers I think.

EDIT: Although treating a minbet as a check and just your raise as a cbet is fine in general... I think when you make it just 6 here tho, you get 2 calls a ton since they will feel somewhat more invested in the pot than usual (even though its just 50 cents!!), and a 3/5 pot cbet is really small to begin with, not to mention the additional dollar being in there.

Plus, we have two backdoors here and if the guy decides that minbet/pot3bet is a good line, we feel pretty sad.

Hm.. Off-suite socks..Last edit: 30/10/2014 11:44

The minbet by a fish is almost always very weak and you can pretty much assume the caller of the 0.50 doesn't have much either. Given that info I would just raise it bigger if you decide to raise at all. And that particular turn has to be barreled. You're repping AA and that turncard is perfect for your hand.
