betting flop and checking turn is irrational, thats one of the best turns for your hand on this terrible flop
you didnt go for pot control ur just a noob whos afraid of overcards
get over that shit |

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light not our darkness that most frightens us and as we let our own lights shine we unconsciously give other people permision to do the same

Yea, if you think about his flop calling range, it's gonna be a lot of 1pair+draw type hands, the K turn doesn't really hit him very often. Value bet. You also want to be able to bluff these turns in the future, so betting the turn with this specific hand is good because you are "merging" your range which makes it harder for him to call you down with weak bluff catchers. |

thanks for the comments.
i was terrified of sets and remembered years ago someone said you can keep pot smaller on dry board or something. i guess the board isn't dry if its 654 anyway |

so what? You dont have to call if he raises turn. Get some value, youre unlikely to be bluff raised so thats fine |

poker is soooo much easier when you flop sets
