your thought process is incomplete. you need to think deeper about the game. without looking at the results:
i think flop can go both c/call or cbet. i don't think a hand like 8x or 99/TT will fold to 1 cbet. on the turn you say it's wet but because the flop was so fucking dry, combined with the fact that you bet the flop and got a call the turn isn't THAT wet.
it still provides a little bit more equity and now you'll see a bunch of combos of pair + draws. to me this doesn't mean check my JJ, it means bet the turn. and because villain will have lower to shitty equity ie, pair + gutshot, i don't mind betting on the smaller side and getting value from these draws. clearly potting against a gutshot guarantees that you will only get called by better and never by worse. betting .9 is prob a good size on the turn.
on the river you can most likely c/fold because no one turns their hands into bluffs at this lvl. ppl are VERY happy to showdown any pair. |
