Neteller screwed me boo hoo

So this morning i get a call from my bank (Commonwealth for the Aussies) and they tell me that the neteller cheque for (US)2048 that i handed in for processing 6 weeks ago has been DISHONOURED.
The full consequences of which are explained to me:

I obviously dont get the money.
I have to go in and pay them a DISHONOUR FEE of AUD 254.39
The cheque will take weeks upon months for neteller to refund me because they're useless bastards.

Okay so by now i'm walking around in my room pissed off as hell and calling neteller and abusing the customer service representatvie. Needless to say she has no idea, i have to email them because she's a spastic with downsyndrome.
After abusing her for 30 minutes i finally get "oh it might be because we've closed the US account". This i reward her with a few more minutes of verbal assault before i decide to email them.
Three emails later, one of which was less than polite and the other 2 were quite eloquent for the raging state i was in.

So i then go into the bank, since i have to pay them the damn fees.
I talk to the Manager and he shows me this letter saying that basically, the bill for collection for USD 2048 drawn on NATIONAL BANK OF CANADA is being returned unpaid with answer: ACCOUNT CLOSED
The Commonwealth Bank dishonour fee of AUD 35.00 applies to this item.
Additionally a fee of CAD 196.62 has been charged by our corresponding bank (FX) rate 0.8962.
So result, i owe bank $254.39.
The dishonoured item will be returned if/when it is recieved from our corresondent bank.

All this basically meant that i was getting charged 254 dollars which is more than 10 percent of what the cheque is even worth, not getting my money until whenever the hell they send it back and i'm pissed off as hell. Oh and i had to pay an initial 45 dollar fee to get the cheque processed which isn't refunded...so about 300 dollars for a bounced cheque....

Just wanted to get advice from the LP community as well as rant, i apologise if this bored anyone but i feel robbed and want to know what i can do?

Man this is so fucking goddamn fucked up.

Fuck neteller, I just tried to cash out a cheque for $1800 today from them. After reading this, I'm canceling that ASAP.

so i probably won't even be able to get my 2000 back?

i use EFT, i hope i'll never have any problems with this. it's scary as fuck because i just started saving money in my neteller. I don,t feel comfortable letting it sit there.

fuck man, this is pretty sick.
the idea that money that i earnt grinding away is just gone, as well as the huge fee i just coped.....
words cannot describe how pissed off i am right now, i was planning to live off this for a couple of months, i just started uni and i wanted to concentrate properly without having to do a part time job.

like honestly i'm so pissed, i emailed them again called them again same stupid type of customer representative.
They won't refer me onto a higher manager or anything cant talk to anyone else, i can only email neteller and most likely i wont be getting a response since they're busy going broke atm.

Dont get cheques from neteller!!!!! Direct deposit into account is fastest and safest way! i learnt that from experience.

bank transfers are pretty cheap, its like $2 to withdraw directly to your bank in 3-4 days...=o

not sure how the economy in australia is but you could easily get a 15 hour a week job here and earn 2k in 3 months. it may not be what you had planned but, as a university student with a ton of extra shit otherwise, you can definitely fit that into your schedule if you absolutely need to, and you may find you enjoy it because it'll give you a stable source of income instead of having to rely on poker.

i really really hope all tl.net members learn their lesson and avoid neteller like the plague. they just had 54 million dollars confiscated and lost the majority of their customers as well. now they're bouncing checks to what few customers they have left. the company is dying, i doubt they'll make it to august.

great news for me it gets better and better.
so basiclaly the funds trace they'be been "running" for the past 3 months on the 400 i tried to withdraw using Neteller card is never going to result in anything.

In response to getting a job, that shouldn't be a problem its more that i've just lost about 2.5k plus the 400 funds trace making it more like 3k which is making my head spin.
