squating till you burst a cappilary in your eye sounds really awful

btw first you need a goal with which you are obsessed, and that is the hard part for me

You're so right with everything you say. Lazyness sucks so hard.

I'm not that good in muscle training english and don't understand everything, but I got a question. Do you think it's usefull to let muscles rest after doing pushups? If yes, how much can you train without muscles taking damage and what breaks do you need? (only pushups)

Nice post, and I agree with your sentiment.

But lettuce be cereal. The barbarian bro's were roid monkeys. Steroids allow a person to train an absurd amount, compared to a clean person.

Yay!!

Love ur mentality, I want to be at the edge to, any tip. I crashed 6-7 times in the past training. Notice I really want to train a lot, but so scared. I think it's cus of my stupid illness, Im allergic to most food. And dont get all the nutrients, but in my heart, I'm a fierce, fearless Tiger.

The willpower thing during trainig, I has it. Need to use my intellect to stop myself every time, scared as hell to break myself again.

I've gotten most stupid shit u can have from training, frozen shoulder, back problems, infections. Just got a scrawny ass body, with a bad ass brain I think.

I'm at my 7th attempt at training now, only 3 times a week, 45 min, so I feel like a super pussy lol. My main problem is I cannot gain weight. Ive read so much about ectomorph, read in reddit, watched dozens of youtubes, read articles, followed everything I can follow. I simply don't gain weight with consuming food. Only thing that happens if I go overboard is I get 100% constipated, and I need to go to the emergency room lol. (Ive been emergency thingy twice last month, I suck, but I will never stop trying shit lol).

I've had days my body had nothing, I just get down on my knees, start taking push ups, and my body can't life me up after 4th or 5th push ups, tears running down my chin. I smile, since I never cry and give up anymore, I do the oposite. I feint, pass out, and I wake, a little confused, embaressed, but happy lol.

2 days later, I feel amazing, I get down, I do around 50 push ups. No idea what's going on, well some idea, it's stupid body, ppl can't seem to figure out what it is lol. Been to most doctors, all kinds of shrink like thingys.

Oj, shit, went on a little rant, sorry lol. Anyway, love ur post, yay xD

you gotta keep on pushin. love it. but pushing in the right direction too. plenty of people don't know their goal and just slapt out trying hard to do everything, or they do know their goal but get stuck in a loop of bullshit ineffective training with hardcore grinding that takes them nowhere. Its hard to find the effective method, the right path. To me the method is what matters. thing are complicated and this is over simplified. still, great as a kick in the pants to get going, and get started, and to think bigger.. do like.
Congrats on your lifting results and cutting through the bullshit! and nicely written

What u say is true for some part.

I can assure u that without massive amount of training u will get nowhere at all.
ALl this 3-4 times 1h a week shit ... doesnt work.

When i started MMA i was pretty bad.
But then i started to become pretty good compared to many other amateur MMA guys... had my first fights , won my first amateur tournaments etc.....
If people ask me how i managed to get from pretty bad to halfway decent amateur MMA fighter i always answer.

"I increased training amount from 3times 1,5h a week to 10times 2h a week. Thats how i became "good".

The downside is that overtraining does exist !
You wont notice the first month ... maybe u wont notice the first year.
But then you will be at that point where your body simply crashes.
At first you start to get some injuries every now and then. After some time u get injured like every 3rd or 4th training.

Shoulder joint hurts , knees hurt , muscle fibers ruptures ... rip cage hurts ... blood preassure is suddenly high .... you start to get a catch a cold every ~2 months

You are only training hardcore for 2 month ..... thats nothing ..... train like this for another year and you will see ...Trust me i have been there.
That is when u realize overtraining does exist.

You can train like people on steroids even without yousing them.
But after 6months to 1 year your body will break !
Their steroid body will be fine though

U see what i did there with A8 ? He 4 bets and there we go insta jam A8 : ---booooom -- . hahahaha ( Krantz)

@ Marius

No such thing as somatotypes, thats bullshit. There is people who eat more and lift more, and people that eat less and lift less.
To gain weight squat, bench and do pull ups. Anything around that is fine.
About diet, u can certainly be allergic to something.
Start by eating TONS of meat (meat and pork), and fish and veggies if u feel like. I don't think you can be allergic to any of that, and that should be the pilar for any diet regardless.

@ PP

I'm quite sure there are quite a few differences between mma and weight lifting
For starters, there is a huge component of endurance training, and since I'm sure u can overtrain urself by runing a million miles a day, mma would be somewhere between that and lifting weights.
There is also joint shock, the fact that you are fighting someone else many times and another miriad issues.

The other thing is that you can't really autoregulate on MMA training so much
When u have sore shoulders, u press overhead and do pull ups instead of benches
If ur knees ache, u try deadlifts, etc
Also, you can do shit like partials to strengthen joints, etc.

Bulgarian system is 100% built around auto regulation
u work to a training max twice a day, then back off sets. 13 times a week.

John broz himself said that this prolly doesn't work for other sports, cause you can't regulate intensity as easily as with changing weights
Still, if you are not close to elite in anything, the chances of actual overtraining are pretty slim.

Bulgarian system was designed for olympic weightlifting.
From what I know it is possible to squat heavy 6 days a week and be "fine" (ignoring aches and tiredness).
But I doubt you can get away doing upper body workout (bench, overhead) 6 (or even 5) times a week for a long time.
Same goes for deadlifts.

Note also that Bulgarian system was for elite level lifters who had good genetics and used steroids.
I think somebody with few years of lifting could get away with squatting under Bulgarian sytem, but that's it - only squatting.

Can you deadlift heavy 6 times a week?
