seems kindof sketchy flatting 25% of ure stack with shorties behind

Chewits   United Kingdom. Mar 15 2011 07:05. Posts 2489

Hand 1) I just jam here, by flatting you might get some shortie looking down at JQs and thinking its pretty and getting it 3-1.

Hand 2) All depends on table dynamics and how deep we are in tournament.

I am a degen. Do not believe in any of my advice.

I really don't like hand 2...
pre and your raise on flop obv. mostly depend on dynamics, but i think you should pretty much always fold to the allin on river...

hand 1 you can just jam if you like to, but calling is also okay. calling basically has the advantage that you can fold if one of the guys bigger than you pushes, but you can never fold to another 25k. Your stack is essentially just about big enough to make calling rather than pushing viable, 65k stack and i'd push every time. jamming has the disadvantage that you can end up losing your entire stack against either one of two stacks that you could normally get away from, but the advantage that you also don't get a random 45k stack flatting and you then running into a really really awkward spot postflop.

hand 2, preflop I find both folding raising and calling viable options, depends on dynamics and whatnot. when you do end up hitting this flop, I think raise/calling is the right move, but I would definitely bet more, probably 50k more or so. (even though you are happy getting it in vs say, jj, which definitely is getting it in, and the only hand you really fear is Adxd, you are even happier to downright take the pot down. thus this is not a situation where you want to give your opponent an impression that they have FE.)

yea good explaination, so by raising to 70K instead of 120k villain had fold equity left to shove, i make this same mistakes too some now and then about FE, so im really wondering if villain could lay down this hand if we looked comitted.

in hand 2 i prefer to flat the flop and doze the turn since alot of Ax will stack vs you on the flop and you have a higher EV getting them to fold the turn rather than flip

traxamillion   United States. Mar 16 2011 17:54. Posts 6958

in hand 2 he is simply not folding the flop when he perceives himself to have 10 outs.

he bets small and you have position ... drag it out another street

Hand 1: Fold or shove to ISO pre

Hand 2: Call PF, Call up to 2/3rds Flop, fold turn no improvement

hand 1 after you you call you're neverrrr folding for another 10 bb's. maybe if villain had you covered or raised another 20bb's or so then you can safely fold.

hand 2. after you raise that amount on flop it's a snap call. regardless getting it in here is quite +ev.

How much fe do we have if we ship the flop? Does that look weak in this spot? Lets assume we've been in line~

hand 1: shove

hand 2: fold pf to the UTG raiser when you are UTG +1 when you are as deep as you are

someone opening like that UTG in hand 2 means that they have a good hand here.....players are forced to play tight utg

your M is 10, you arent desperate for chips and despite the potential to have position on the UTG raiser postflop, you are creating a good squeeze situation for someone, not to mention that the UTG open range beats your range

his range is something like ATs+AJo+KQ+77 and he could even realistically fold AT KQ and 77
