Hi,

Like the title suggests i am starting plo. The past week i had my first couple "serious" sessions. I noticed that I have a lot to learn, because i came across many situations where i was clueless. So I have a couple of hands i want some advice on, on all sorts of aspects of the game like range, cbetting etc. And on some hands verification of how i played it.

My basic knowlegde of the games is that i need 4 cards that connect together and preferable double suited, and i need to look for the nuts and backdoor opportunities. I feel i am missing a couple of value bets, because im to scared, and i dont know if my betsizing is correct, (allthough i like to use controlled bets instead of full pot)

There might be a couple of hands double that will fall in more then one header. I am playing 4 tables of rush .25 ( i dont know if rush or normal omaha makes a big difference, i suppose playing normal omaha more and more decisions can be player dependant since you allways have the same persons to ur right etc)

Having made this thread i see i went a little nuts on all the hands, so i do not expect answer for all the hands, but if you can single out a couple of hands it would be very appriciated

Opening Hands
Obviously i know position makes a difference in opening hands and i know some people play a looser style then others. But I would like some advice on the following hands, would you open them. I feel i am opening to many hands at the moment, and maybe even folden hands i should open.

With that being said do u open the following hands:
H1: + Show Spoiler +

H2: I seem to open a lot of the following hand in every position, how bad is it?
And do u open it if it where single suited, or double suited?
H2: + Show Spoiler +

H3 I only open in late possition because i dont feel it is that strong and only hoping to make trips, and then again my strips arent that strong, so i prolly starting opening it in the CO. But how strong are double paired hands in general?
H3: + Show Spoiler +

H4: + Show Spoiler +

H5: + Show Spoiler +

H6: I think its a standard open, but just to verify
H6: + Show Spoiler +

H7: + Show Spoiler +

H8 I believe this hand i a good hand, in the top range to open?
H8: + Show Spoiler +

H9 Late position standard open?
H9: + Show Spoiler +

H10 How strong are gappers?
H10: + Show Spoiler +

H10: + Show Spoiler +

H11 : How strong are double suited, and then 2 cards close to each other
H11: + Show Spoiler +

H12 : I think this is a fold, but i feel i can prolly steal blinds if im on the button?
H12: + Show Spoiler +

H13 : These hands confuse me, do they look better then they play?
H13: + Show Spoiler +

H14 : UTG to weak a hand?
H14: + Show Spoiler +

H15: + Show Spoiler +

H16: + Show Spoiler +

Calling PF

Im not exactly sure when to call pf in some spots, so do you call these, or do you want more people in the pot to make it profitable

H1 : + Show Spoiler +

Looking back on it i think the following hand is pretty crappy, or can i still call this vs a blind open
H2 : + Show Spoiler +

H3 : is this a call, can i call for set value of the Q, plus a have a nuts flush possibility?
H3 : + Show Spoiler +

H4 : I am calling this when it is double suited, maybe even single suited, i fold the hand if it is unsuited
H3 : + Show Spoiler +

H4 : + Show Spoiler +

H5 : Standard call? Plus is this river a value bet or is my flush to small
H5 : + Show Spoiler +

H6 : Call or snap fold pf
H5 : + Show Spoiler +

Cbetting
Again obv position makes a difference but i generally use the following rules
Vs 1 person : I only cbet dry flops, A high boards, if i have any piece
Vs 2 persons : I cbet dry flop, if have a a good piece like 2 pair and up
Vs 3 persons : good piece like 2 pair and up
Vs 4 persons : basically the nuts plus good multi draws

H1: + Show Spoiler +

H2: I think this is a standard flop bet, i do it with all my range. I i think i should be betting this turn, i am not quite sure what to do on the river, is the is bet, c/c, c/f on the river
H2: + Show Spoiler +

H3: More interreseted in the turn play, is this a bet
H3: + Show Spoiler +

H4: easy cbet?
H3: + Show Spoiler +

Playing hands

H1 : both are pretty short a have a pair plus a good multi straight draw, standard to get it in right
H1 : + Show Spoiler +

I believe the following hands is a cooler in PLO (plz tell me if that is not the case) But my question is what to do after his reraise on the flop. Should i be potting it, or can I in a way slowplay this hand. Does possition have an effect, if i was oop he could check the turn behind after a reraise. So basically do i need to slowplay this hand. And i cannot believe he just calls the turn and river, is that a normal play on his part, if i were him i would go allin with it.
H2: + Show Spoiler +

H3 If the player does not cbet, is this a good steal, i was planning to follow up on the river if the board did not pair
H3 : + Show Spoiler +

H4 Looking back at it if feel i should have bet the turn in this spot, And i just hate these rivers spot, every time i seem to call they have a straight or full house?
H4: + Show Spoiler +

H5 : I think this is pretty standard on my part. But to i still go allin with bottom set?
And what do you think of this play, i think is not bad, since i can only call with my top range, which obv i dont have all that often
H5: + Show Spoiler +

H6 : Im not quite sure about this hand, i think pf and turn are fine, but im a bit worried on the river or is this just a cooler. I think my flop betsize is also to weak
H6: + Show Spoiler +

H7 : I think is was one of my better plays. I cannot see what he can have on the river that has me beat, i think i he had me beat he would have raised the turn, so i decided to valuebet 1/2 pot, but still folding to a raise
H7: + Show Spoiler +

H8 : easy fold on the turn?
H8: + Show Spoiler +

H9 : One thing i am very afraid of is the backdoor flush (or a straight). Do i bet fold these rivers and what should be my betsize, I feel c/f is very weak
H9: + Show Spoiler +

H9: + Show Spoiler +

H10: I feel i should be raising this flop, but im not sure how to handle these hands, any advide?
H10: + Show Spoiler +

H11 : What about my turn check, and do i value bet this river, in other words will he ever call with worse
H11: + Show Spoiler +

H12: am i just paranoid, is this a shove
H12 : + Show Spoiler +

H13 : The play in general, like pf, turn and river?
H13 : + Show Spoiler +

H14 : River bet, i think i like a river bet? Plus if the flop was a rainbow, should i be raising this flop?
H14 : + Show Spoiler +

H15 : These hands in general, i feel i should be defending this vs a button open, i prolly jam this turn?
H15 : + Show Spoiler +

Reraising hands pf

How big is reraising in omaha, at the moment i am not using it all that often en mostly slowplaying my AA, and play for set value, or like the following hands

H1 : + Show Spoiler +

H2 : + Show Spoiler +

H3 : but i am willing to put a 4 bet in like this
H3 : + Show Spoiler +

I know hands like 5678 are good to reraise, but how big of a leak is when im not doing that

Ok this turned out bigger then planned but what the heck, thanks for the advice!

Holy shit! A+ for effort though.. it's gonna be very hard to get a good response. it looks like it'd be very time consuming just to even answer half =(

Honestly my first advice would be don't be so lazy. Just go read a bunch of articles or pick up your basic beginners PLO book. Most of the questions you're asking can be answered with a little bit of research into the subject matter. I don't think anyone on LP is going to spend an hour or two writing out a long-detailed reply spoon feeding you stuff that can be found with google.

Sorry dude he Jason Bourned me. -Johnny Drama

Yeah i know i went a little crazy on the hands, but i just like to have basics to fall back on, all in one place. And you might be right that some are just basic questions and can be looked up in a book but i just like shitloads of examples :D But next im definitely breaking it into multiple threads. And like i said i do not expect somebody to give responses on every single hand, cause i know thats a lot :D

Special thanks to Roman!

Hand 12:
HAHAHAHAHAHA?

Their ranges are any QJ, JT, QQ, TT, JJ and if one of them is retarded they might also have straights.

If you ever consider folding that, just sit out instead of playing.
