Bankroll for HU NL50?

its pretty easy to tilt and lose like 10 buyins in one session

prob like if you're nit and don't want to die 3k or something

between 4-5k imo

if you have a very big edge, 25 buy ins, with a stop loss. if you have not played before i think 30 buy ins for a 1 table shot, again with stop loss. if you are trying to grind it instead of full ring, you need 50 to 100 buy ins, erring to the side of caution

FOR REAL YOU NEED 50 BUY INS AND TO PLAY HIGHER I WOULD SUGGEST 100 buy ins SPECIALY FOR MID STAKES LIKE NL 100 WHERE PLAYERS ARE A BIT BETTER THAN AT LOW STAKES. as said by chris!

I've been playing a lot of HU recently, and a good guideline would probably be 40bi if you're starting out. If you're not confident in yourself, nervous, or have tilt issues, then I would absolutely say have 80bi or more.

It's not so much HU itself is high variance, but the fact that you're playing every 2 hands as opposed to every 8 to 10 hands. You're going to get bad beats 4-5x as fast and not have much time to get yourself back together, so if ANY of those three things I said aren't true, you'll feel absolutely crushed and disgusted once the variance starts kicking in.

yea but you ran pretty good when u started Ed! I would absolutely suggest aiming at 100 BIs.
And it's not only variance that is an issue, you have to be super comfortable in getting it in, especially since you'll often get 2-3 BI deep with the most lucrative players who get it in light.

As soon as I get my federal refund check I'm going to take a 5 BI shot at NL50 HU. I'll let you know if this is adequate or not.

lol, play on FTP it will work, i started with 6 Bi playing like a super nit and now have 50. Took awhile and some rakeback but it worked. lol

1k sounds good, drop to 25NL HU if you reach 600-700.

Well 5 BI's didnt work. Ran up against 3 flopped flushes, a flopped straight, and a boat vs my straight. This game is impossible.
