Yea i've heard of it. Basically there is a new offer every day and if enough people want it then they offer the coupon and people can print and use it for that day only. Example like 50% off a haircut, or buy one get one free sandwhich at a local deli. |

My girlfriend is part of groupon in LA.. Has some really cool stuff and good deals.. might be a good investment |

the UK has much better results with social networks then we do here in the US.. i dont think its a bad idea, just depends on what kinda ROI your looking at and the amount needed to invest.

I dunno why you just wouldnt spam "Yes" for everything and just use the ones that apply to you. |

Exactly. The idea is for businesses to get significant trade at break even or minor profit to then encourage repeat business. The site gets a small cut I think and basically gets the deals as they get bums on seats or significant group sales (depending on the offer). Seems like a decent idea to me - just one that needs some kind of critical mass/tipping point to make it worthwhile for the businesses involved (and the site).
Every day has a new deal - one a day I think.
For those that have no idea what is going on - just a random question really to try to get some anecdotal feedback... |
