he calls/raises 50% of 3bets? most regs would be folding 80% of 3bets. So i guess you can get it in, but you should prob flat unless your comfortable 3betting next time. |

14/9? i guess bet bet bet, i think this is a money losing situation now cuz you're going to run into AK/sets more often rather then get paid by AJ and stubborn pp's. River bet might be too thin imo on a K/6/J.
To avoid situations like this, dun 3 bet AQ oop without history. There's little value to 3 betting AQ @ a 14/9 villain without history. |

I find myself in this kind of situation from time to time and I hate it. I know, I know.."if you aren't comfortable doing it, don't do it".
Is betting all three streets the most optimal way of playing this hand?.... The only reasonable hand you are beating is AJ.
But can villain really hold AJ here?
From my past experience, I often find the villain with AQ minimum for chop or lose to AK and sets.
If someone can step in and share their insight on this hand, it would be much appreciated. |

if thats the case you shouldnt be 3betting AQ.
unless hes setmining all his pocket pairs. |
