Our sample is only 56 hands.
Our only info postflop is "vilain is passive"
If vilain is a station I bet more , if not , sizing is fine.
Actually he's a station (He don't fold Ah flop ) but it's a info we don't have before this hand.
There is a lot of fish , every fish are not station

if he has a hand that hes calling $1 on the flop with, hes calling $1.25.

his bet-sizing is fine
river just sucks, what can you do but fold

if you think his bet sizing is fine you need to reevaluate the way you value bet these 60/10 fish. youre losing a ton of value in this spot.

I really dislike this kind of thinking. By that logic you could just as well say "he he has a hand that he's calling $1.25 with, he's calling$1.50". Of course there's a very small chance that a 1bb increase will make him fold, but it could. Increasing your bet size always increases the chance that he'll fold. The trick in value betting is to find that sweet spot that maximizes chance to call* amount.

that being said, 1.50 or maybe even 2.00 would probably be better.

obviously its only true up to a certain bet sizing, after which our fold equity will be too high with every bb increase in bet sizing.

joLin is absolutely right imo. Betting 2/3 pot with the virtual nuts Vs fish is burning money. Bet more = more value = simples. The times that the extra big blind forces a fold is way more compensated by the times they call. I do think if they call $1 they will call $1.25 and will almost always call pot - obviously there is a balance there but 2/3 pot is way below the tipping point.

i think u played it fine. Sure u coulda bet a bit more on the flop / turn. Anyways...I would throw something at the screen, and fold.

You see...whenever I start feeling sick...I just stop being sick...and be awesome instead...true story...

u think he calls $1 on flop but folds for $1.50? $2? $2.50 even?

ur giving urself way too much fold equity if u think this is good. u wanna be able to 3barrel AI vs passive fish, they are not often going to raise you instead just call call call, and if ur only putting in 40-50bb instead of 100 then ur losing out on 50-60bb...

these are the spots that are costing you the most money, bet sizing wrongly, standard stuff that you dont notice because hey u won half a buyin pretty goood.

as for the hand itself meh fold

I've played this kind of fish yesterday , nl 200 €
very loose pre , passive postflop.
I've won a lot of money with my cbet and multibarrel 66% pot because he was really tight postflop.
It would be stupid to bet more.

60/10 =! station ...

one example doesnt disprove the generalization. if you had no read on a 60/10 player's postflop play, what is your default assumption?

without read postflop I assume he will fold a lot.
So I don't want him to fold when I have semi nuts ...

He plays a lot of hands => he doesn't hit often => he fold a lot.
Again , fish =! station

Critterer   United Kingdom. Feb 02 2010 14:31. Posts 5337

i think its a horrible assumption to think a 60/10 is likely to fold a lot postflop.

seriously seriously so horrible...

Well I've asked to a high stake player , for him sizing is good.
I guess it's not that horrible ...
