this is the first time I played with villain, I havent played any significant pots with him and I did not see the hand where he doubled up. I've been playing straightforward and shouldnt have any particular image unless it's a regular who changed his screenname which is somewhat likely in which case he probably views me as very spewy. on the turn I feel like all my options suck, if I just check/calling I'm losing so much value but once I check/raised and get jammed on with this much behind I dont think Im in great shape and had he called there'd also have been a lot of ugly river cards to play with two times pot behind.

it's not much but I would've noticed if he was playing 40/5 or if he was 3betting a ton or something else extreme. for the people that play the ftp deep games, how would you play this against a standard regular or an unknown? is it any different playing in deep games compared to just being deep in a normal game?

the cleaner Im not asking about what to do after check/raising Im asking how to play the turn in general

Why is it a weird straight? He is the button, im sure he can have 43s, 84s, 89o, 89s here, as well as 55,66,JJ.

I think someone with a set like 55/66 would call the raise more often, being scared of straight possibilities.

First I thought lead but if he's good that'd probably make him play perfect. c/r seems fine. Just pay the man. You're dead to 1 hand, got some equity vs some straights and he can have worse here a decent bit.

Fwiw I think your behind his range if he's competent and on the nitty side, but not enough so that you can fold.
