K5 is a style jam, if u want more 1st/2nd finishes with more variance and fewer itm it's fine
A8 is a total abuse play, if u are highly confident that he is folding it's the same as above but only if he is actually folding that amt, which makes it an incredibly dangerous jam over the long term
both can be very safely passed with improvements to itm% and slight diminishing of ending finish position |

thinking about it more, K5 is a clear jam if all 3 guys are very bad at jam/fold 3handed and hu
A8 is almost always a pass unless the above applies and he is actually folding as often as u think he is |

I hate the shove with A8o. Bet like 475, and you be suprised how many times you pick up blinds there. And fold to a shove, if you know he has a tight shoving range. Way better than risking your whole stack. |

A8 hand if he calls with a tight 10% range (77+,A9s+,KTs+,QTs+,AJo+,KQo) this is what u seem to be suggesting
u have 35.420% equity with A8 against this range so 10% of the time u have 35.420% equity in a 5640 pot (2820 x 2) This is = 1974.
from your 2820 investment this is (1974-2820 = -846) so a -846ev result
the other 90% of the time we pick up 300 chips.
so (0.9 x 300) + (0.1 x -846) = 270 - 84.6 = 185.4 + ev play against 10% range seems reasonable for what you are suggesting.
Also people say it is high variance but if we are getting called only around 10% of the time and only losing 2/3rds of that time. This means we only go out 6-7% of the time with this play and the overall value of the play based on a 10% calling range would be + 185.4 even allowing for a wider calling range (which would be worse for us) this would still be plus ev. |

the 475 rather than the shove depends on what range u think we will jam over that he would fold if you shove. this is player dependant. If he will exploit ur small raise ( by shoving a much wider range such as 20%+then shoving is better). If not then take the small raise is better |

these are all 9 person 1 table sngs right?
imo
KJ is good
K8 probably fold, theres 3 shorties at the bubble, play last longer, you have a good stealing opportunity next hand, much rather be the one shoving obv.
K5 is an easy shove
a8 bad shove imo, if you expect him to be reshoving light then just don't fuck with him until after the bubble and when you do raise make it small and raise/call to let him semibluff. if you expect him to play conservative respecting your stacksizes and not reshoving light then raise-fold a8 here to 500 or so. Let the guy with 5bbs bust. |

These are all 6max i think. If you post sng hands you really need to specify format since it obiously changes icm/when the bubble is etc.
First hand is a marginal shove, if the blinds play well its possibly it could become a fold (if you fold sb will shove 100% bb calls correctly etc) since sb will bust enough of the time its better to not get inolved.
Second hand depends a bunch on your read. Against regs i would call but its going to be a fold against most randoms.
Both the A8 and K5o are easy shoves, the K5 is a pretty cleary any2 shove spot and if the bb plays well you can probably shove any2 in the A8 hand also, but A8 is certainly good enough to shove. I think i'd prefer to shove vs open to 475 just cause its pretty sucky when he calls and obv we don't want him to reshove - given stacksizes i think just jamming here is going to be the best play. |
