Assuming the guy would 3b the fish pretty light for value we can exclude probably 99+ from his range here, we obviously have a bluffcatcher and after calling turn that river plays itself, so the question is do we call turn... I think yea, I mean we are beat by a pretty narrow range and we have no indication of the guy being a huge nit, so I think this is standard. |

another spot where i think a fold is better straight EV-wise but a call is better from a game theory and psychological perspective.
Yeah ur hand is a bluff catcher and i dont think an average tag is making a big river bluff when ur hand looks like TT+. Folding here is so exploitable and annoying though :[. |

For me there are 2 major points to consider for whether or not to call the turn bet:
1. my largish flop cbet into 2 players limits his calling range a fair amount
2. a lot of his weak made hands and weaker draws will often check behind the turn but his value hands will always valuebet
I think in order to make a profitable turn call here you have to know your opponent is capable of floating flop with a wide range and/or betting when checked to with the majority of his range

Yea this. I feel also this call is much more profitable on ipoker than stars or ft. Feel like on stars or ft most ppl think "shit he has an overpair no way he folds" whereas on ipoker ppl think "cool he has an overpair so I'll just bet turn shove river so I can rep the 9". |

I will usually bet/call the turn or check/fold, would have to have a more specific read to c/c turn or c/r turn i think.. I think bet/call is good b/c i think its more likely he has a draw than 9x or a set, and alot of players will trick themselves into thinking they can make you fold a big hand on the turn after you bet by repping the 9 when they have like some flushdraw+gutshot or whatever.. idk, tough hand |
