Spot came up while I was half stacking 25/25 PLO at Palomar card club. Disclaimer: I'm still really really fucking bad at PLO, but am only sitting in this game because of two mega fish that are playing it. I'm playing shorter than most of the table sitting with $3500. Other stacks are: Button is sitting with $5k, fish is sitting with 7k, and big blind is sitting with $20k+. Anyways. Mega fish limps utg, 1 other passive guy limps, I am in CO and limp , button (young and competent kid) raises to $150. Big blind calls (also known to be pretty good at PLO), fish calls, and limper calls, so I call.
Flop comes for bottom set + gut shot + bd flush draw. Gets checked around to kid on button who bets $375. Big blind calls. I call.
Turn comes , big blind checks, I check, kid on button bets $1000. Big blind snap calls. I...????

Sounds like a good spot to fold. Board pretty co-ordinated and the fact that they could easily already have stronger made hands. I'd say it's a pretty big chance that 'kid' has AAxx here or JQxx and the other guy having a big draw (since he's competent). |

i'm an omaha noob but I'm pretty sure checking behind two pair hands is incredibly standard on the turn...so having the 4th nuts is not fun. |

you can probably fold the flop with your stack size. |

i don't even know PLO and i am 100% sure turn is a fold if the flop isn't a fold
and i was pretty sure i would have folded the flop when i saw the action as well |

at this point id put button on a straight or at worst AA or KK. BB does not have a straight ever imo. He might check call with it waiting for a good turn. Now that a blank has come out, no reason for him to not put in a healthy raise. He might be calling with a set w/flush putting the button on a straight. IN other words, u are drawing very thin and fold. |

after flop there is no card what can improve your hand ..only to make your decision harder. Raiser easily can have bigger set or top 2. You hand is hard to hold up vs 2 ..also on those boards 3 way somone usually have straight.
And after turn action i fold. |

I dont play plo, but I think id rather jam the flop with this hand than call, there are many bad turns and very few good ones and you can be drawing deadish. Id prolly just pitch flop tho. |

This is a rather very easy fold on the flop, easy fold on the turn as played.
You should avoid overplaying sets on straight boards at all cost, especially bottom two, lets not even mention how you CAN'T play them profitably against competent players, you can't ever be close to having equity when your out of position against a player that shows so much aggression. |
