Its pretty obvious that you should shove the river isnt it? Whether or not to shove over on the turn is the question imo, and need more info on villain to answer that. Once he checks the river it really looks like 99-JJ, or AdXx. |

Definitely agree with the read. But there's no way he calls the river with any of those hands (right?). I'm not really sure he calls with 2p here (because I should appear solid enough to not call turn with Ad, so I have no bluffs in my range). I'd shove 88 easy here, but I don't know what 33 gets looked up by. |

ummm,
He's a good player. He doesn't have 44, and all his pair and FD are suited connector type hands that have really low diamond draws and horrible RIO (he's not calling in the sb with Ad8x for ex), so he's not going with those either. Unless I'm misunderstanding what you're suggesting... |

It's not obvious you should shove the river at all ... what do you think he's c/cing flop, c/ring turn with for value that's worse? it's not like he's ever got AA or any 2 pair combinations that he can c/c on the river, he's either got a hand that isn't calling or he's checking river with a better hand to induce because he thinks we may have called the turn with the ace of diamonds and are capable of bluffing with it.
Turn I'm either calling because I think he can turn something into a bluff and intend to call him down on the river or I'm calling because he always has a flush and pays us off if we boat up. The main problem is that if sets are in his range too then we are totally crushed and only have 1 out, I don't think raising the turn is good cause he never has 2 pair or AdX taking this line so you're only getting called by better, folding could be good if he never makes any moves, cause essentially all you beat on the turn is a bluff, and sets are included in his range, thus not allowing you to try and boat up profitably as when you do boat up, you lose all your money anyway. |

I feel smart . This was my exact thought process in the actual hand, but i called turn because I err on the side of being a station. |
