Is this profitable at this limit? I know this sounds like a donkish question, but im always either crushed or flipping when i do get it in pre. Is this due to my image? Very rarely will I be way ahead and thats usually only against short stacks. Most regs i see will flat 3bets with queens /shrug.

i know its a player dependent spot, but even guys that are 3-bet happy dont seem to want to stack queens pre.

im probably just an idiot lol

The most profitable play with QQ at NL50 is....

Take a look at his HUD. Notice his VPIP stat, his PFR stat, and his 3bet % stat. Think. Then decide.

Well QQ vs a 4bet range/stack off range off AK/QQ+ is 40% and when you 3bet/4bet there is already money in the pot so, you are getting more than 1:1 pot odds. So really if you ever face a 4bet bluff its very profitable and about break even against a normal valuerange. If you 4bet yourself you fold out hands that have equity against you and take the pot down PF often.

If there is a logical reason not to stack off (history, stats, dynamic etc tell you his range is KK/AA) then don't do it. Don't stack off just because you are 'supposed' to! Be very careful, though, not to mislead yourself with selective memory.

Researchers used brain scans to show that when straight men looked at pictures of women in bikinis, areas of the brain that normally light up in anticipation of using tools, like spanners and screwdrivers, were activated.

The secret is to 3bet them in position (oop is probably fine too at NL50 because people are too fit or fold) until it's super profitable to stack off with queens. They typically make adjustments by calling more oop with semi-strong hands such as AJ+ as opposed to 4betting, which is super exploitable.

Also, keep this in mind. If someone 4bet shoves on your 3bet, if they can do this with AK, you're usually priced into stacking off, but doing so is about neutral EV. It's the same with AK assuming they stack off with queens. So if you have reason to believe a person doesn't shove AK or QQ pre, you may be able to find a fold vs certain nits.

edit: oh it seems like you're asking when you get 3bet. Calling is fine if you can keep worse hands in, but you need a reason to do so. By default you should be thinking "4bet" and then decide if calling might be more profitable. Don't start off by thinking about the more passive route.

I played like a bit of a robot preflop @ NL50, and the sample size doesn't mean anything. I bet if you picked spots and 3-bet more often than I used to it would be profitable for you. Point is, it's going to be really dynamic/villain dependent.
