I think because it's the first hand he's less likely to 4bet a big hand and more likely to 4bet bluff so I think we can fold here because his calling range is much stronger than usual.
as for checking the flop I think it's very difficult to play your hand well that way without a read on your opponnent. |

Anybody else feel that's true? I always wonder about stuff like this but I never manage to figure it out |

Because you just never know and you have tp in a 3b pot with a shitton of draws against someone who may be crazy or bad or both. |

rofl grot, don't 3bet here if you have problems like this post
as played i am with TTom and shove
by 3betting you're going to get into marginal situations
dunno y you would setup an aggressive image and then hero fold TP here |

hmmm I don't think T8 flops top pair and gets raised on flop very often, this is just a rare situation
anyway in the game itself it seemed like an easy shove to me and he busted me with JJ, then afterwards I started doubting looks like opinions are divided so i dont mind it as much anymore thx... maybe i just felt bad about busting hand 1 |

Really don't like 3betting marginal hands without having any clue whatsoever about the opponent. I mean you have no idea if he's drunk or a reg.
As played, I might make a minraise or something to try to induce something from air, with intention of shoving any turn if he calls. Shoving flop is pretty much the same. |
