The overcaller is a massive fish. The shover is a solid enough tag who never has a king here cos he would flat it. My plan was to snap a shove from either player, to jam the turn if the fish calls and c/f the turn (maybe, maybe not) if the reg calls. Are there any better flop plans I could have had?

i like it, reg has to 4bet AKo here pre and there can't be that many combinations of KQ

seems like we have to fear the fish jamming more than the reg jam here (although I'm still calling if I bet)

curious about results; can u PM me?

the fish folded on the flop, so he probably didn't have AK.

You line looks quite strong since you are cbetting w a cold-caller. Yes, he is a fish, but that means he is also never folding anything there, so you gotta figure you have something when you CB. Plus the reg did call, so you should worry about him. You did not say that you were going nutso 3betting PF, so the reg should have no reason to be super suspicious and shove overly light. And the reg can figure either you or the fish has a pair and decide to call w AK PF and flop a pair. Or he can C w AA or KK to trap since you will get a chance to cbet and the fish will get a chance to call before he has to act, so if both of you are weak, he can collect your cbet and his monkey flop call. He could also decide to set mine w 77 or 66 since it's going to be 3-way. So his range is made up of hands that crush you and flush draws. You aren't doing too hot against that. Seems like a clear fold to me. Figuring that you are ahead here enough to justify a call is just wishful thinking, and you did not talk about any reads that would make you believe the reg can spazz out here.
