the dealer made this raise someone frequently to pick up the blinds and I thought I could get him off a semi-strong hand plus the big blind, or at least have a few outs if I got called. Within the last 10 hands I shoved with KK and lost vs AA, then shoved with K8s and won vs 45os, then shoved with 88 and won vs 86. I actually forgot about that K8 shove until I checked my hand history while writing this post. Now I feel even more stupid for making a move after doubleing twice and and shoving without much 4 of the last 10 hands. Results are kind of obvious.. =[

you need to double up in a bad way. Your equity is never terrible here, fuck it, you might as well do it here if you want to make it in this thing, with all the other short stacks you're gonna run out of opportunities to get any chips. |

I think you're thinking too much.
And, I think you're right to think you should have laid off the trigger here, because of your history. |

I don't really like it b/c you don't have that much FE and your hand is pretty much never gonna be the best. If you shoved like 15++ i'd like it a lot more. With that said, if you think he's opening light enough you can shove broadway cards, pp's, and all Ax's with these stacks if you feel like it, for value. |

i like this play in a different scenario. e.g. him not being a huge chiplead, and you not having been involved in 4 allins in the past 10 hands.. if a loose opener with a 150k stack raises and you have been card/position dead for a while then I like this a lot. |

don't hate it but you really don't need to risk busting out right here. |
