First of all sorry for littering the Tournament Poker forum with such shitty threads. Didn't really realize how worthless most of these hands are.
anyway a little history,
i've been able to beat 5.50 for a really long time, but with school haven't played as much. anyway i liked the 6.50 turbo tournies as they are faster and i feel has better gains to stealing/playing poker, vs 5.50 where its 20 min lvls (you can wait for good hands).
anyway it took a while for me to realize how loose some of these guys were playing, and how much more i needed to widen my range of calling hands. also i have a bad feel for which hands i should be stealing with/calling shoves.
Q1)all my hands can be pretty much summed up in this situation:
a)blinds are around 100/200, i have a chip stack of around 2200-2500. around 20-25 bb not much room to play poker with.
b)its 2 or less from the button and i have a hand like A8, KJ, 44's.
c)do i only raise hands that i'm comfortable calling with? (then it would be AJ+KQ+77+)
d)do i fold to a shove that puts me all in. as i will have around 1800, or around 18-20 bb left and wait for a better spot.
Q2) secondly when are prime opportunities to steal? when i see late position raising, i like to reraise with AT+ KT+ and 77+
Q3) also at the first levels i don't like raising with AQ AK, i feel like i usually get on avg 3-4 callers making it very difficult to play. however at lvl 2 the players seem to immediately tighten up. is there any validity to not playing AK in first level of blinds
sorry for somewhat of another vague ass thread, and sorry for the other crappy ones.
Here are a few hands i'm hoping you can give me some feed back on. People with short patience please stay clear, as i have no doubt this list of hands will piss you off :D
---HANDS---
1) http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/696866 is all in ok or would you prefer to call?
2) http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/696846 at this level i strongly feel he will call with AQ AJ AT, 77 88 99 and only raise with TT JJ QQ KK AA. but for some reason (after learning alot here, lots of "your scared of money", enlargement of balls) i felt compelled that shoving was the right play. i felt like he was going to fold none of his shoving range to me, so in this specific case, is folding the right play? i know you guys advise strongly to refrain from being results oriented, but previous to joining this forum, i think i would have folded here like 85% of the time. And now i've been shoving 85% of the time. I want to stress that I would shove here in a cash game .25/.50 + and at tournaments 11+. is there ANY validity in folding ak?
3) http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/696689 retarded steal? or super standard steal? i'm ok with calling shortstack
4) http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/696687 once again am i even allowed to fold here after my bet?
5) http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/696677 is an open shove ok with 27 BB with 2 good stacks behind me?
6) http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/696676 what's lowest hand you would reraise/steal here?
-slightly more interesting hands-
i said slightly -_-
7) http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/696682 i have 30 BB, feel like i can absolutely out play my opponent (don't want to flip with blinds this low, at next level i think i'd have to). firs time he's shoved heads up (its been about 6 hands)
8) http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/696870 my attempt at stealing. is shove too much? when he called i almost puked...but then he flipped over his hand...sigh...
9) http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/696844 took a stab on the flop, after raising pre, this is ok to commit myself?
10) http://www.liquidpoker.net/mytlnet/myhand.php?view=item&id=696859 is check/raise check/raise WAAAYYYY to fancy here?
