10/20 live
game is really active and super deep, I've been 3bet squeezing a lot and have been showing a lot of hands like T5s etc after they've folded so my image is very active atm. villain is a good online player that plays the 10/20 and 25/50 live regularly and is one of those guys very capable of tossing 15k in there with air.
i have 13kish at start of the hand, villain covers with like 60k.
UTG raises the straddle to 140, 1 caller, I call QT, button calls, straddle calls.
flop QT6 rainbow
check, UTG bets 380, fold, I smooth call, rest fold.
turn 8 still rainbow
UTG bets 980, I smooth
river 4
UTG bets 2000, I call
Should I be raising anywhere in this hand and calling off if shoved on?

call river be happy about it? I dont think a raise except for on the flop is too good. He should be able to fold KK AQ to a raise on turn/river? |

60k stack on 10/20 looks scary Where is that, Commerce?
Assuming its fullring and deep vs aggro guy, I think I like to just call him down. If you had like 4-5k stack then I think raising the flop and getting it in is better, but this deep I wouldnt be comfortable getting it in even vs a very aggro player. But of course its tough to judge, you were in the game and you know the dynamics better. |

I think planning to call down top two is extremely nitty especially against a live tard. Just raise flop and valuetown him on turn+river. If he shoves it in anywhere and happens to have better fuck your life etc. but if he has AA/KK/AQ/KQ or whatever he's likely to call down.
You say you're active then just call down top two?!?

I can't see how he wouldn't have U polarized on later 2+street (big) actions ... if U calling this down w top two.
Its BR dependant IMO - if that 13k U sittin' on is a big chunk of yr BR ... calling him down here + setting up this image (+avoid big clashes w him) is fine.
I also agree with McNasty ... - if the game is really good (and U wouldn't be able to reload), sacrificing a bit of EV here for later game's sake should be fine too.

reloading wasn't a problem, I just didn't think he would pay off 3 bets with AA,KK,AQ type hands If I had raised the flop on that board. He's not a live tard it's a good online player and if I flat he's gonna value bet those kind of hands all the way + a possible 3-barrel.
anyone ever raise river here or is that too thin? |

Smooth call the flop cuz its rainbow and ur not the kind to put it in there with KJ so ur folding everything u beat except AQ KK AA
You could raise river. If 13k isnt ur life bankroll that is. ;/ |
