The set odds are kinda debtable, but if you call for set odds its because you think his range is really strong and you can stack him, you didnt hit a set hence without some kind of other read you should probably fold. But like I said again I dont think you are getting great odds here as he seems a pretty std tag that probably squeezes quite a bit. |

Your thinking is inconsistent. If you call here PF, you are assuming he has strong enough hand that he will stack off when you do hit a set. If that is why you called PF, it makes no sense what so ever to do anything by fold flop when you don't hit. If you think your 77 is ahead of his 3betting range, you should have shoved PF. |

i dont think he is ever folding an overpair here so you have to fold imo
p.s. preflop call is fine imo vs. 2 that have you covered |

fold pre...as played its villain dependent if hes the type that cbets and gives up without having anything then id call ad shove turn if checked to...otherwise id fold flop cuz he isnt folding any strong hands if u bluff shove and can easily barrel u off urs |

Why on earth would he ever fold an overpair when hero's range has about zero Js in it? And yeah, given his stats I think his range isn't good to setmine against. IMHO if you don't have specific reads it is indeed a pure guessing game whether he tries to fold out both your and the other guys hands on flop or he is trying to take either of you to value town.
If you float flop your hand is face up on this board as played pre and on flop, he hits with overs on turn 1/9th of the time, and he probably shoves with air often since he can easily put you on your hand and he only needs like 30% FE given the odds and him having 5 outs to hit on river even if you call.
That said calling once and folding on blank turns without reads or stats on his double barrel tendecies in 3bet pots is bad, getting in on turn if he shoves needs strong reads otherwise is a suicidal spew, while turning your hand into a bluff if checked to is totally retarded.
Since he cbets (probably his standard cbet size) 3way oop on a board where either of his villains are less likely to fold a mid PP that is also really often in your and I0nmar's range, I would be more inclined to give him credit and fold flop.
Especially so since we initially called pre to setmine, didn't we? (marginal call IMHO) |
