NL400 150BB deep best play on flop?

Villain is a weak stationy player with 37/13 stats. Minraise PF is normal for him. I think his range here is not that strong on average, if only because it would be hard for him to have something strong with us holding top 2. Villain is also prone to barreling unopposed with high aggression frequency on later streets.

That said, assuming we think we have the best hand at this point, is it better to flat-call or raise this flop? One subjective thing to consider is that, since the beginning of the year, I have been on a downswing, so if there is a 2 to 3 outer out there, he's gona hit it

In all seriousness though, do we worry about draws and work to protect our hand since it's 3-way and we are deep with the main villain, and there are quite a few cards we don't want to see or do we try to trap and take advantage of his barreling tendencies?

The pot is still very small, it is 3-way and there is several straight draws out there => you definately wanna raise here to protect ur hand and build the pot.

If the weaker player has any kind of draw he is probably calling anyway and so is he with like any top pair I think.

No, I normally don't call here. Point of the thread was to see if there would be any proponents of calling.

sounds like a pretty bad plan imo.

Mix up between call raise,against a passive type I'm defo raising.He aint gonna bluff the turn if we just call,so the aim on the flop must be to build that pot up so we have a good chance of getting his stack by the river

Merits to calling don't exist against this type imo.Against an agreesive reg I'd call flop,maybe call turn/prob 30% of time raise turn,shove good river
