I just heard that my local casino is hosting a Heartland poker tour event and was wondering if any of you have ever played in any of these and could answer a few of my questions such as:
How is the structure?
How's the toughness of the field?
Any other information you may deem helpful would be awesome. |

I did! The structure blows, it's a total crapshoot at day 2, but the field was weak as hell and if you know anything about ICM and push/fold stuff, you should be fine. I came into day 2 with 8bb and just coasted until the FT. |

| I have learned from poker that being at the table is not a grind, the grind is living and poker is how I pass the time | |

Yeah, basically, it started out at 25000 chips at 50/100, so I was in heaven. By the end of the first day, blinds were 7k/14k and average stack was like 200k. When the money bubble burst, average stack was 11-12bb, and at the final table before the TV table, blinds were 50k/100k with average stack being 720k! Like, a fucking horrible crapshoot, and then I ran AK into AA at the FT and shoved my last 4bb in with 75o into QQ. Fun times. |

If so, save yourself the misery everyone and don't go! Turning stone is the most miserable place alive... except for maybe Oklahoma. |

Tstone sucks for tournament series because its 18+ so its all the MTT grinders that can't play in WPT/WSOP events, and there's no alcohol nor is there anything to do within 45 miles. |

I'm planning on it and they tell me everytime I'm down there they have an extra "hidden" room they can expand to. It'll probably just look something like scotty nguyen when they just cram tables in whereever they can fit them |

Yeah everything Trey said is true. Plus Tstones is just full of old degens playing slots and there is absolutely nothing to do. There's a club but no alcohol (LOL) and the casino blows the structures for mtt's are decent and the fields are amazingly soft so I guess that's good. But the place is just soooooooooooooooooooooooooo miserable, I went for a week last Jan. and will probably never go back.
