one question for you...

in this spot
on the flop ask yourself: How much do I want to gamble? cause that's all you're really doing if you call there.. you have to dodge every diamond, and card that pairs the board while chasing no better than a 5-6 outer here at times.

you are monstrous underdog here if you do call in this multi-way pot... although we see that you would have won... this was a good fold.
this is not as good a hand as many might think.

like i implied in hh, imo its a spot where u should pretty much always fold since you could easily have way fewer outs than you think even for someone like me who likes to mash buttons with wraps.

j/10/k would be interesting

hmhm

does the fact that if I call we're heads up for a $1200 sidepot have any influence? what if it was a 2k sidepot or maybe even bigger?

I don't think I would put much emphasis on that.

I'm probably just talking out of my ass though. I play PLO by mashing buttons. It's fun.

you want to be playing for the main pot...

If you do call, and lose the main pot, and win the side pot of $1200, you're still taking a $900 loss....

2k sidepot would be more interesting though... but you would still lose money if you didn't win the main pot...

seriously though, you made the correct fold, calling is a donkish and very bad play...

There will be much more better spots than this in the future, guaranteed
