depends
u have like 35% equity or something vs a resonable range
if he will call with overpairs close to 100% -> then i like a call best
if u have decent FE -> all-in |
|
| U see what i did there with A8 ? He 4 bets and there we go insta jam A8 : ---booooom -- . hahahaha ( Krantz) | |

I prefer calling here most of the time, unless you have reason to think he can let go of an overpair here. A lot of people don't raise lightly out of the small blind so you may be looking at an overpair here a decent amount of the time. Raising becomes better with shorter stacks, but here you have like 50 behind after a call, he bet small so you have really good odds, and your draws are not too obvious since the flush draw is back door. Basically if you raise here you're risking 50 to win 19, which isn't terrible with your equity but i think calling will mostly be better. |

My concentration dropped badly during this session that lead me to make some unorthodox play, I wonder how horrible they are.
So I made a smallish raise on turn, trying to rep a monster and fold out some hands that beat me since his turn bet is really small, feels kind of scared. He definatelly shouldn't come over the top with any of the hands he is repping, right? If I hit river after failing to make him fold, I can valueshove into an overpair he can't seem to fold and hope for a call, if I miss my line is still monstrous if I bluffshove good rivers after making a really small raise on turn that seems to beg for a call. And 76/55/34s are in my range from his perspective, and not many hands make sense otherwise....
How is my thought process? Results to come after some reactions, thanks in advance |

raise flop imo but as played call turn now you have added FD to OESD - you have 15 outs to the probable nuts and he is still likely to bet out/call value bet on river when you do hit |

Thanks everyone, I really don't know what I was thinking during this session. I have made worse spews before, so whatever.
On turn I raised to 17, he flatted. I hit a 9 on river and he shoved TT into me. He left the table afterwards. |

i dont like your tought process. you said you would shove river if you hit because he prob cant fold an overpair if he calls turn raise. fine. but then if you miss your draw you want to bluff shove because now you think he will fold. What will he fold? an overpair? maybe i just dont get it? anyways i would have flat called the turn, value bet small if he check the river, and raise all in if he bets the river. but it worked out fine for you. gl. |

He meant he can bluffshove a scare river card...tho this 9 (s is best obv) is the fucking scariest of all for his TT (completing 99 or 87)...so pfr is pretty much dumbass and can't fold overpair so...it's good you hit :D ... so since you don't have info about the vill, just flat turn...if you know he has low turn af too, I'd use fold equity here only if I know he's capeble of DB wide range or I know he can fold 99+ here otherwise it's a bit spewy for 50nl dno . |

If you think raising this turn is good, then it's often better to call and jam over on all rivers. Stacks are pretty good for it considering his turn bet size and there aren't many draws on the flop for him to put you on. Also, if he jams over a turn raise you are in a really really stupid spot. Note I have no idea if this works at 50nl! |
