shoving preflop is so you dont put in 20% of ur stack and then not pair? when u have a good hand like AQ? like what do u do with 77 here? same thing? shoving is preferred imo

and what in gods name are u afraid of on the river that he checked, that beats you?!!!!

shoving pf folds out everything i beat
raising 3x from button induces a raise allin from A LOT of what I beat

i make the same raise with 77 there. i make the same raise with anything i play there.

and i checked the river because i thought it simply came down to how often i got called when i am ahead, vs how often i got called/raised when i am behind

and i felt like i would get called/raised when I am behind more often then i would get called/raised when i am ahead

First one shove pre and bet river, if u arre suuuure they reshove light lots in these, then i'd 2.5x it pre to give them even more FE, but ppl are dumb and just flat pre with crap too often, and call too much shit pre when u just shove that i just shove.

Obv bet river, i dont remember the last time i saw someone play his hand like he did intending to CRAI river. Maybe you would do that, or would never pay off - but hes some random in an fpp tournament. Who knows what he calls with !

Second hand how many do these pay? I'd probably fold the 65s

even taking massive liberties with the approximate potsizes it's difficult to get the 65s jam to be -cEV since the rate of getting played with is so low, and even then your equity does not degrade enough to offset the diminished rate of being played with once you give the midget a retarded range like AK, TT.

a quick case struct came out as majorly +cEV, and i gave them a 6.3% call range (AJs, AQ, 77) which is arguably too big. you need to give at least one of these guys a ROFL callrange (KTo) and have a terrible image to pass this. i think A2C is +cEV. rough sketch puts it at barely +cEV, but barely +cEV is outweighed by getting to the next hand given payout struct imo since any action pending = a % of elimination.

lets go fucking mental la la la la lets go fucking mental lets go fucking mental lala la la

I think that call range is pretty optimistic given that they probably suck, and the two guys in the blinds are short so will probably call with lots more hands since they 'need' chips.

Dunno, haven't played these fpps tournaments so maybe everyone just presses fold but from what i'd assume they play like its a reaally marginal shove here if it a shove, and people will make so many mistakes in these things and bust themselves when they shouldn't that we should fold.

people really don't play that bad in those 5400 fpp sats
at least not during the week (mon-fri)

i mean, it's 5400 fpp. most people who have 5400fpp to regularly spend on satellites play a lot of poker

Travis,

You'd assume the same about 650 WSOP sats, or PCA sats etc but ppl (inc some really good mtt players) make the most ridic sat mistakes. I've seen countless spots where ppl can turn off their computer and sleep and win a package to X live tournament but instead punt a huge stack and bust.

I can only assume FPP sats ppl are also dumb

first hand shove(or maybe raising is better to induce shoves, but no one bluff shoves in these), second hand fold. there is a video on CR that outlines perfect strategy of these 5400's.

It's so much more +ev to play these 5400fpp during the weekend. mon-friday is filled with pretty solid players, but during the weekend lots of occasional players wanna qualify for the sunday million and take a shot with their hard earned fpps, and usualy play scared, don't steal enough at the end and get run over.

there are no facts only interpretations
