Definitely a reshove there. What I've seen is there are a lot of players out there that are down to 5-7 BB's and start to "freak out" when the big blind is approaching them next. I've seen people shove with some pretty odd holdings from UTG and UTG +1 only because they know that 500 is coming around quick and "feel" they need to make a move before it hits them.

You are going to be ahead or dominating so much of the time, and with just a few people behind you it's a shove all day long. It's a great way to pick up chips when you notice small stacks shoving in such an early position.

If I were him, I'd be shoving with any pair, any two broadway cards, middle suited connectors, and POSSIBLY and suited ace (that would depend on the way the table is calling all-ins)

BTW - a call would be HORRIBLE here because you want to see all 5 cards heads up....calling might make someone think they are getting the right odds to call and get lucky, or someone else to squeeze you thinking you might fold.

i have made this mistake before in the past. you think his range is ahead of you but it really isnt so you have to reshove, even if you dont like it :/

You're absolutely right chris, I didn't like it at first - but I sure learned when you start seeing how often you're ahead! It's a great place to scoop up a small pot and not risk your entire stack....might even be part of the difference that pushes you from just squeaking into the money to going deep, final table, or winning!
