So Villain is fresh at the table, no stats or reads. I feel like I am in a flipping / crushed situation, and the odds are horrible, I have the Ah so it kind of rules out some flush draw combos, further leaning Villain's range towards 2pair, set, combo draws, straight, right? But the line is kind of stupid, huge overshove by a limp/calling, possibly weak player seems strange to me with a monster, how to proceed?

I pokerstoved this range, this is as wide as it gets, right? Any fixes for the ranges?
Board: 5h 8c 9h
Dead:
equity win tie pots won pots tied
Hand 0: 41.551% 41.09% 00.47% 22778 258.00 { AdAh }
Hand 1: 58.449% 57.98% 00.47% 32146 258.00 { TT-55, KhQh, KhJh, KhTh, QhJh, JhTh, 98s, 8h7h, 7h6h, 6h4h, 98o, 76o }
If I remove: TT 66 77
Board: 5h 8c 9h
Dead:
equity win tie pots won pots tied
Hand 0: 23.410% 22.84% 00.57% 8594 213.00 { AdAh }
Hand 1: 76.590% 76.02% 00.57% 28600 213.00 { 99-88, 55, KhQh, KhJh, KhTh, QhJh, JhTh, 98s, 8h7h, 7h6h, 6h4h, 98o, 76o }
I need slightly more than 39% equity.
EDIT: I forgot to add QhTh, but it doesn't significantly increase my equity. |

that could be 66 or 77 or fd. i would think he plays sets and straights a little slower. just call. |

this is almost never the nuts, much more likely are combinations of heart draws with 8x or something like fd+straight draws with overcards (eg TJh/TQh) down to worse flush draws or even draws like JTo/87/97/66/77 and I also wouldnt be surprised to see TT-KK here sometimes. youre def ahead, call |

I dont mind a fold that much, imo this is very often 2 pairs rather than fd |

I don't mind a fold. I have seen a lot of people do this with a flopped set trying to rep a draw. If he is a passive fish, it's an argument for folding. Of course sometimes you see villain repeatedly doing this and then you feel like an idiot. But generally speaking, in this case I think it's a very high-variance call. |

You guys really think PASSIVE fish is shoving 9x, 8x, or a draw here more often than 98, 99, 88, 55, 76 ? |

i'd call because passive fish like...play tight and weak for a while then suddenly blow up thinking that you'll fold aces because they're tight
happens constantly in live games
just call |

I really doubt the villain in this case is thinking about what his opponent has. He's just shoving based on his cards. |
