Guy justlost a big pot to short stack where he got outdrawn. Then very next hand this happens. I didn't know what to really do. I figured I wanted to be aggressor for last of my chips and folded but i have to be ahead of his range here no?

yeah your equity, even vs a sensible range, should be around 40-50%. his range on average is gonna be more wild than sensible imo

do you even play tournaments?

anyway, I probably snap this regardless of history. he should be shoving any two here, no?

With 11bb I fold here...
You're most likely ahead of him often, and you might win this hand say maybe...60% of the time...
I'm not calling on that...

with 11bb you're able to get blinds by pushing and stealing, I don't think you need to call hands like these...

excuse me? you're not taking 60% 'cause you have better spots?

how is he not pushing at least 80% of his range here? if we're folding A5s he HAS to be pushing 100% here. even if we're 50/50 against his range (almost impossible) we still almost have to take it given the overlay of sb/antes.

ck, your post implies that villain has the option of raise/folding or something. of course you can raise/call but the play in his spot the majority of the time will be to shove

mehhh i don't mind the fold so much in a low BI tournament when ur kinda deep. I tihnk the bad players dont shove light enough but its close and marginal either way.

Fold, applying the GAP CONCEPT.

Liquid`Drone   Norway. Sep 02 2008 04:49. Posts 3096

i dont mind the fold in a low bi tourney cause some players only shove a10+ even on the button here. the more competent the player is the easier of a call it becomes, but against some players, and actually a decent amount of players in $3 tourneys, you have 3 outs every single time here. if the other guy is good its a very easy call but most people don't push all that light..

so if I have the impression this guy is on the tighter side I fold. if hes a complete random I call but im not overjoyed about it.

for anyone thinking he doesn't shove light

come on dudes are you for real? we're gonna run into somebody who is shoving 62o just as often as we're gonna run into somebody folding KQs imo
