id just call the turn as played
vs some people i'd squeeze pf
vs some people i'd raise on the flop but there isn't much value in it

I'd like to raise out overcards & possibly flushdraws on these kinds of flops. Why is there no value in raising?

you're only gonna get called by dominating hands or hands you're barely ahead of on the flop + we have position to re-evaluate any turn card.
same logic as when there is a dangerous board and you wait til a safe brick turn to get your money in because you're barely ahead or flipping.
on this turn with his betsizing though i think we have to raise and your raise size is good for information and stuff but it gives them the odds they need to draw (I think, im way too lazy to check this out) and for us to raise large it commits us to the hand so flatcalling for merely straight draw value and maybe a checked down river is what i would be looking to do

we raise for value or to bluff someone out of a pot.
i don't think 77 is ahead of any type of range to put them on so we aren't raising for value and we have a hand with showdown value.
"i have an overpair" so what? can these guys really have A6 or something here and if they do are they really going to stack off? in that case we should be raising the flop every time.

you raise the flop because you can easily be versus an overpair or a flushdraw which you are ahead of. they can also easily have any other number of shitty draws you don't want them drawing cheaply to.
the only thing you are afraid of is a set and even then you arent that much of a dog to that.
not raising the flop isnt even an option in my mind. but i guess just difference of opinion.
yeah I raise flop here or just flat the turn... either you're trying to gain max value on the hand or show it down when you're likely good... there's no way you want to build a huge pot here
this shit is OBSURD

I called PF cause I have odds, and I dont really know what that button minraise means and I dont want to build big pot w/ 77 oop. On the flop Ive just called which i think means strange w/ raiser still to act (but he just calls, and now I know that he doesnt have a set / 2 pair / FD -> maybe one pair or just overcards). On the turn SB bets 1800 into 9000 and Im like WTF? Does he have a monster? NO! He would protect his hand from being out drawn. But what can he have? Weak top pair? Maybe 45 and he is afraid of being called by two ppl. Also I thought about 76 and 87 but they are unlikely cause i have 77. So i raise (its a small raise for info) and now button even if he hits his ten (if he floats the flop w/ Tx) he has to fold cause I showed a lot of strenght. And now If SB would raise me - this means most likely some donk move w/ a pair (dunno) or a fancy played monster.. But usually he will fold and when he raise I dont know what I would do. I said that could be a donk move but... could he made such a move on me when I show a lot of strenght?
