i don't know if this villian will call on that river if you shove so why do it.
just raise bigger on turn. |

if he had a pair of tens why are you concerned about missing value when you got way more than he should have given you
the fact that he called the flop and turn probably means he decided you have exactly AK so what do you expect to gain by shoving on what should be a scarecard for you? expecting a call from KJ or something?......
also what did you think HE had when he called your 1/2 pot on flop?
theres never a reason to shove here unless you think the guy is an absolute spewtard and this isnt mentioned in your post |

I think calling the flop is fine with 1010. The rest of eachwayman's play is a bit "eh" |

yeah i was trying to do an exploit play on flop by making him think i was just trying to steal it, if he called i figured he either had a jack or something i would have beat anyway and then extract more value on the turn and river. I would have shoved river but i wasn't sure as soon as he made his funky bets, I repopped him anyway, but was unsure on the river w/ that ace dropping, thinking about it now i think i will shov river next time cause he has to respect me for the ace given how the hand played out, so why would he make that bet if he wasn't afraid of it?
i duno my logic here is that i'm just unsure about the standard cont bet sometimes here when u dont have the nuts, cause if he does call i find myself in a strange situation unsure of whether he hit a set or not, so if he did have nothing i would have gotten the fold at a cheaper price and if he did raise then theres a good warning signal for me. on the other hand if he just calls i feel i know for sure that he has a hand he thinks is better but unsure about, so i can extract some good value in that case. |

more pre more flop shove turn for sure, you missed a lot of value vs a clear calling station who WAS gonna take his hand to the felt if you had put enough money in |

you have to bet harder so you don't give cheap cards to donks with Ax hands, betting low can get you into trouble. |

The preflop bet is fine IMO but you have to bet more on the flop and then just get it in on the turn, because as Midian said, you missed a lot of value from an obviously terrible player. And yes he can have a set or as played he could probably have T9 too, but he could also have AJ,KJ and the possibility of AJ alone makes it an easy valuetown on the turn if you had bet properly on the flop. |

Preflop is fine but bet 2.35 or something on the flop and the turn puts you with less than a potsized bet left which results in an easy shove. |
